Delicious Italian sub sandwich with cold cuts and veggies.

Welcome to Two Rebels Off Grid Farm

Italian Grinder Sandwich Recipe

 

Ingredients (4 sandwiches)

For the sandwiches

  • 4 hoagie rolls or sub rolls 
  • 1/2 lb sliced salami 
  • 1/2 lb sliced deli ham 
  • 1/2 lb sliced turkey or pepperoni 
  • 8 slices provolone cheese 
  • Sliced tomato 
  • Thin sliced red onion 
  • Banana peppers 
  • Optional: shredded lettuce for extra crunch 

For the grinder salad

  • 4 cups shredded iceberg lettuce 
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise 
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar 
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning 
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder 
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper 
  • Pinch salt 
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese 
  • 2 tbsp pepperoncini juice (optional but highly recommended) 

Instructions

1. Toast the sandwiches

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. 
  2. Slice rolls open. 
  3. Layer meats and provolone on each roll. 
  4. Bake 5 to 7 minutes until cheese is melted and bread is lightly crisp. 

2. Make the grinder salad

In a bowl combine:

  • shredded lettuce 
  • mayo 
  • vinegar 
  • Italian seasoning 
  • garlic powder 
  • parmesan 
  • pepper 
  • pepperoncini juice 

Mix until creamy and coated.

3. Assemble

Top hot sandwiches with:

  • grinder salad 
  • tomato 
  • red onion 
  • banana peppers 

Serve immediately.

Optional Additions

  • Crispy bacon 
  • Hot cherry peppers 
  • Fresh basil 
  • Thin sliced cucumber 
  • Calabrian chili spread 

For Extra “TikTok Grinder” Flavor

Brush the rolls lightly with:

  • olive oil 
  • garlic powder 
  • oregano 

before toasting.
