Our Story

In 2021 we moved from the stress and pressure of the city to a slower, more intentional and sustainable life in the country.  We've been practicing permaculture in our urban Colorado backyard for many years where we raised chickens and rabbits as well as lots of different edible plants.  An artist at heart, Douglas spent many years as an accomplished executive chef.  Keri is a passionate home cook and gardener and has started many successful small businesses. 

We decided to take our love of natural building, permaculture, animals, growing food, cooking, and entrepreneurship to the next level and sold everything to purchase our 36 acre homestead property in the high desert of SE Arizona.  We are developing our property using sustainable, natural building techniques and working with the resources easily available to us  Our buildings are made from hyperadobe which is the perfect material for the high desert.  We teach workshops and offer experiences through our non-profit, Outlaw Acres Farm.  If you are interested in donating to help support our non-profit farm, please contact us at tworebelsoffgrid@gmail.com
