At Outlaw Acres Farm & Kennels, we run a small, hands-on Great Pyrenees breeding program rooted in transparency, responsibility, and a genuine love for the breed. Our dogs are raised on our rural Arizona homestead, where we embrace the lifestyle of living off the grid in Arizona, as part of our daily life, rather than in a kennel setting. They are family members first and working guardians second, and we believe that makes a huge difference in the dogs we produce.
Our goal is to raise well-balanced Great Pyrenees with stable temperaments, strong structure, sound health, and natural guardian instincts. We plan our litters carefully and intentionally, focusing on temperament and health. Every breeding is done with the long-term health of the dog and the breed in mind, not convenience or volume.
We follow responsible breeding practices and believe strongly in being honest and educational about how breeding works, with clear communication and realistic expectations being very important to us.
Our puppies are raised in our home and on our property with daily handling from birth. They receive early neurological stimulation, age-appropriate socialization, and exposure to everyday sights, sounds, people, other animals, and outdoor environments. We focus heavily on building confidence and resilience during these early weeks so our puppies are well prepared for life beyond our farm.
Our breeding moms receive high-quality puppy food during their entire pregnancy and nursing period, along with a daily prenatal vitamin and extra nutritious treats. They have access to as much water as they want and plenty of opportunity for exercise and those long naps in the warm Arizona sunshine! After the pups are born, mom receives a post-natal vitamin daily to help support her while nursing and assist in her recovery. At 4 weeks, the puppies are started on 'puppy mush' and transitioned to puppy food so that they are ready to go home fully weaned at 8 weeks. During the last 4 weeks with us, the puppies have free access via a dog door to an outdoor, covered space where they start early foundational potty training in pea gravel that is cleaned twice a day.
We place a strong emphasis on communication and support. Our puppy families receive regular weekly PupDate updates via email with photos and education along the way, and we take puppy matching seriously to ensure the best fit for both the puppy and the family. We are committed to supporting our puppies and their owners for the life of the dog, not just until go-home day.
At the end of the day, we care deeply about doing right by our dogs. Our breeding program is intentionally small, thoughtfully managed, and guided by ethics, honesty, and respect for the Great Pyrenees. We are proud of the dogs we raise and grateful to place them with families who value responsible breeding as much as we do.

Our puppies are raised in our home and on our rural Arizona farm property, with daily handling and early socialization. Puppies are exposed to daily farm life and a wide variety of animals including our other dogs (including a Chihuahua), goats, turkeys, chickens, and our outdoor cats.
Our dogs are part of our family and working homestead. We do not operate a kennel style facility.
We breed intentionally and only plan litters when it makes sense for the health of the dogs and the program. Typically we have four litters a year.
Yes. Our breeding dogs are selected and evaluated for health, structure, and temperament, and we work closely with our veterinarian. All of our breeding dogs receive the same health testing.
Some of our litters are AKC registered and others are not. Each litter is clearly labeled so families an choose what works best for them.
Puppies go home with age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a health record, and lifetime breeder support. You will also receive a comprehensive Go-Home Kit that includes a paper copy of my puppy care book, a frame-worthy birth certificate, a high-quality puppy toy, a collar and leash, 2-3 days of puppy food, a scent-swapped blanket, a clicker trainer, and doody bags.
Puppies receive daily handling, early neurological stimulation, exposure to household farm sounds, outdoor environments, other animals, and kids.
Because our puppies typically all look almost identical, we use breeder-guided puppy matching to ensure the best fit based on temperament and lifestyle. We spend a lot of time with the puppies getting to know their personalities and we do extensive temperament testing. You will fill out a questionnaire to help guide the selection.
Puppies go home at 8 weeks old fully weaned and with foundational potty training in place.

In the case of a false pregnancy, an unsuccessful breeding, or if we are not able to fulfill your desired gender request, deposits are rolled forward to a future litter.
To protect our dogs and puppies from Parvo or other transmissible diseases, we do not accommodate farm visits.

Yes. We can assist with ground transport, flight nanny options, or in person pickup coordination locally, to Tucson, AZ, or to Phoenix, AZ which we do not charge for. Ground transportation ranges from .50-.75 cents per mile each way. To calculate transport costs, use zip code 85610 as the starting location. I.E. transport to Denver, Colorado would cost an estimated at Elfrida, AZ - Denver, CO = 850 miles each way = 850 X 2 = 1700 miles X .50-.75 = $850 - $1275. This covers gas, wear & tear on our vehicle, puppy care during transport, and any hotel stays we may need. We can also accommodate meeting along our transport route to reduce transport costs. *Please note that transport costs are NOT included in the price of the puppy and will be charged separately.
Yes, when placed in the right environment. They are calm, loyal, and protective, but they are also independent and slow to mature. Great Pyrenees are known to be fantastic with babies and kids and very tolerant of other animals like smaller dogs and cats.
Great Pyrenees are natural livestock guardians and have been bred for centuries for this type of work. They have even been known to fight off very large predators like bears and solves. They can excel in working roles when raised and managed appropriately. They also make excellent companion/family pets.
Yes. We are always available to our puppy families for guidance and support throughout the life of the dog.
We recommend positive, humane training methods and breed appropriate expectations. Your Go-Home Kit will include a clicker trainer and basic instructions on how to use it in our Puppy Care Guide.
We provide guidance on breed appropriate timing (typically 18-24 months old is what we recommend) and discuss this individually with each family. If you do not purchase a dog with breeding rights, you will be required to age appropriately spay/neuter via SpaySecure.
Yes, because we place our puppies thoughtfully and with their long term wellbeing in mind, not every application is the right fit for our program or for a Great Pyrenees. When an application is not approved, it is always based on compatibility, timing, or environment suitability. Our goal is to ensure that each puppy is placed in a home where they can truly thrive.
1. Start the process by filling out an application. You can choose to work directly with us and use this APPLICATION. Or, you can choose to work through Gooddog and use this APPLICATION.
2. Once your application is approved, you will secure your spot on an upcoming litter with a $500 deposit. The deposit goes towards the total price of the puppy.
3. You will sign our Puppy Reservation Agreement as well as a SpaySecure Agreement for puppies without breeding rights.
4. You will fill out a Puppy Placement/Matching Questionnaire which will guide our selection process once puppy is born.
5. We will start sending weekly "Pupdate" emails on Sundays as soon as we confirm your assigned litter's pregnancy. You will receive this weekly update until the pups go home at 8 weeks.
6. When your pups are born, we will send an email update and on that day, you will find out what the go-home date will be.
7. Final payment for in-person puppy deliveries is due on or before meet up. Final payment for puppies being transported is due 7 days before the puppy leaves our care.
8. At 8 weeks old, the puppies go home, but the support from us does not stop there. We provide ongoing breeder support for the life of your dog. We are here to be a resource and help you with any questions that come up!
